The Brecon Beacons have a wide variety of attractions for all ages. We’ve got natural caves and stunning landscapes, to castles, museums and old industrial mines showing off our cultural heritage and beauty. There are also places to visit where you can stroll around country parks and indulge in the great local produce that the national park has to offer.
Within the surrounding area of the Brecon Beacons, there are gushing streams, 140 miles of rivers, 35 miles of canal, nine reservoirs and Wales’ largest natural lake. Fed by a plentiful supply of rain, our waters are perfect for outdoor activities. For the thrill-seekers, you also have the option to be more adventurous and dive into water sports. From the tranquillity of canals and reservoirs to extreme kayaking over jaw-dropping waterfalls. Get ready to design your own adventure!
Experience the geological and cultural heritage from around the park. We recommend star-gazing in the hills or taking a horse-ride along the 600 miles of bridle paths and tracks. Our green and fresh landscapes are famous for their big, open spaces. Taking a walk in the hills is an adventure that we certainly recommend during your stay with us as the natural beauty and views from the top of the hills are something really special.
